Do you charge by size, design or hourly?

We charge hourly. So the cost of the tattoo depends on the size and design (level of details, style, color, shading etc). Also, B&W tattoos are usually cheaper than colour.

 What should I wear for a tattoo appointment? 

Wear loose and breathable clothing and ensure your tattoo area is easily accessible. If necessary, bring a change of clothing. Please note, that tattoo ink can easily stain your clothes and it won’t wash off. So if you have a large tattoo or not an easily accessible area, wear clothes that you do not mind being ruined by ink.

Why can't I drink coffee and alcohol before the tattoo session?

Both substances are known blood thinners and could lead to increased bleeding during the process than it needs to be 

What if I take Aspirin?

Avoid taking any pills like aspirin, advil and ibuprofen for at least 48 hours before you get inked. These pain relievers contain blood thinning agents and will increase the bleeding. It's best to avoid them before your tattoo appointment. If needed, it’s recommended to take Tylenol instead. 

Do Tattoos hurt?

Yes, it hurts to get a tattoo, but different people have different thresholds of pain. It won't feel the same for everyone. The level of pain also varies depending on:

  • Tattoo placement 

  • Size and style of the tattoo 

  • Your physical health

  • How you prepare

Are there ways to minimize the pain? 

  • Pick a less sensitive body part

  • Get enough sleep before the session

  • Don't get a tattoo when you are sick 

  • Stay hydrated

  • Eat a meal before tattoo session 

  • Avoid alcohol and drugs

  • Wear loose clothing

  • Distract yourself during the process

  • Communicate with your artist. Let your artist know If the pain is too much, you might need a break.

How far do tattoo needles go in?

Approximately 1/16th inch deep into the skin. This means that the ink will be placed exactly between the 2mm of the dermis layer. 

Do you use numbing cream?

It’s not recommended to use numbing cream prior to a tattoo appointment especially without consultation with a tattoo artist before. Only in very rare cases we may opt in to use

Will the tattoo look the same after it heals?

No, the tattoo will change slightly after it heals. The lines will spread a little. Depending on your skin tone, the colour will also change once your own skin grows over your fresh tattoo. 

Can I shower after the tattoo is done?

Yes, you can shower. While the tattooed area does need to be cleaned regularly, it must not be completely immersed in water. So showers are fine but bathtubs, jacuzzis and swimming pools are complete nonos for at least 2 weeks grows over your fresh tattoo. 

Can people with darker skin tones get color tattoos?

Yes, they can. But the range of color should be properly selected by the artist. Light vivid colors will not pop up on the dark skin tone when healed. Remember, you will see the colors of your tattoo through your natural skin shade, when the tattoo heals (the top layer of the skin with melanin grown over the tattoo). 

Can I get the tattoo on the scars?

Mostly yes, but it’s better to consult with a dermatologist before planning the tattoo. 

Do you do “cover up”?

Yes, I do, depending on the design of the original tattoo.
